Aisin Donates to Michigan Science Center As Part of “Investment In Future”

Plymouth, Mich., May. 20, 2013 – Aisin World Corp. of America (AWA) today announced that it has committed to donating $100,000 over the next three years to the Michigan Science Center (Mi-Sci) in Detroit.

“This is part of our ongoing effort to invest in the future by supporting STEM education: science, technology, engineering, and math,” said John Koenig, president, Sales & Marketing, Aisin World Corp. of America. “Supporting education has long been a tenet of our company around the world, and is part of our commitment to improving the quality of life in the communities where we do business.”

Aisin joins Toyota and Denso in the recent effort to raise funds for Mi-Sci – a unique, fun and dynamic hands-on museum offering programs that inspire children to discover, explore and appreciate science, technology and math.

“Collectively, Aisin, Denso and Toyota are making an important statement about our unified commitment to science education, and the youth of Detroit,” said Bruce Brownlee, senior executive administrator, External Affairs, Toyota Motor Engineering & Manufacturing North America, Inc. “The science center is a major force behind the next generation of Michigan’s engineers, scientists, and innovators. We’re glad to partner with Aisin and Denso in this important effort.”
