• Aisin Starts the Year in High Gear With January Events

    CES 2018, Las Vegas

For the first time ever, Aisin Group exhibited at CES, the world’s gathering place for those who thrive on the business of consumer technologies. CES was held Jan. 9-12, in Las Vegas, Nevada.

As a leader in the rapidly changing automotive and mobility industry, Aisin Group used its participation to focus on three areas of next generation R & D: Zero Emission, Automated Driving and Connected Cars. The Aisin exhibit featured ILY-Ai, Aisin’s three-wheeled personal mobility prototype vehicle, and a pneumatic driving simulator, which demonstrated the latest in automotive smart seat technology. The demonstrations attracted the attention of a variety of visitors, including customers, suppliers and media from all over the world.

“Our first participation at CES successfully opened the doors for us to reach out for new opinions and perspective from those who visited our exhibit,” said Aisin World Corp. of America President, Scott Turpin. “We’re all about ‘next generation,’ and our products convey the nature of Aisin’s commitment and ability to execute advanced development projects.”

Turpin added that Aisin Group’s inaugural CES showing was highly successful, and the company will return in 2019 to introduce additional, future mobility technologies in an even larger footprint in the Las Vegas Convention Center North Hall.

Six Aisin Group companies jointly exhibit at 2018 North American International Auto Show (NAIAS), Jan. 15-28, 2018 at Cobo Center in Detroit.

As an important member of the global auto industry, Aisin Group has participated in NAIAS since 2011. The group showed its capability to lead the industry with three focus areas of next generation R & D, Zero Emission, Automated Driving and Connected Cars. The near future image of mobility, including Vehicle Dynamics Control, Automated Valet Parking, Hospitality Services, and Location Based Services were introduced at the prominent, main floor display.

The group also unveiled its new framed Demo Car, featuring a wide range of the latest products and systems manufactured by Aisin Group companies. The Demo Car was shown for the first time at the Tokyo Motor Show in October, 2017, and was then shipped directly to Detroit for its successful showing at NAIAS. The educational Demo Car became one of the auto show’s most popular features and attracted a wide variety of visitors from students to engineers.
