    This ECU Software Project Engineer position is mid-level and is expected to possess the following skills and abilities to perform the following functions Aisin has determined are essential to this position

    Required Skills and Abilities:

    • Project Engineer must have 3 – 5 years experience in the automotive industry, preferably with a Tier One Supplier
    • Must have experience with Matlab, Simulink, Stateflow, HIL Testing, CANoe, CANalyzer
    • Must be familiar with Embedded System Design (Hardware and software requirements analysis, specification creation, system testing and software release)
    • Computer literacy (MS Word, MS Excel, PowerPoint)
    • Basic proficiency with DFMEA, DRBFM, FTA, and other design too/methodology
    • Proficient with electronic measuring equipment such as oscilloscope(s), digital multi meters, etc.
    • Familiar with software development tools (compilers/debuggers) for embedded microprocessors
    • An understanding of software processes and accreditation such as A-Spice and CMMI
    • An understanding of functional safety and ISO26262

    Education/Training/Certifications:

    • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science
    • Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science desired

    Position Responsibilities:

    Design:

    • ECU Application design and product development according to customer requirements, related parts specifications and AISIN’s design policy
    • Advise project leaders and management in the modification of product specifications in accordance with test results and facilitate customer negotiations to modify specification and/or test requirements
    • Support future software design localization tasks at ATCA
    • Create HILs simulation models and test script
    • Support Drivetrain Engineering with automatic transmission system development and validation
    • Provide input to improving documented development processes and allow those processes

    Project Management:

    • Support and conduct product development activities in cooperation with management to ensure all project milestones are met, including design and quality targets, according to AISIN’s Quality Management System
    • Help build Software capabilities at ATCA & support HIL lab activities

    Product Planning:

    • Support the ECU team in the creation of product road maps based on market, product and technical trends, governmental regulations, customer feedback from Sales Expansion activities, etc. and support all aspects of electronics design teams

    North American Sales Expansion:

    • Assist Sales Engineers in the creation and/or explanation of technical materials related to our product design(s), competitive bench-marking analysis, etc. to promote AISIN’s current or new technologies to potential and current customers in order to secure new business opportunities

    Travel Requirement:

    • Approximately 5-15% to meet or exceed business needs
