    JOB TITLE:  HAN-CHO (Team Leader)

    DEPARTMENT:  MANUFACTURING
    REPORTS TO:  SHOKU-CHO (Supervisor)

    SHIFTS/HOURS:  1ST SHIFT- 5PM to 5AM  or  2ND SHIFT- 5AM to 5PM

    General Summary

    Perform detailed and complex job functions (i.e. normal course of business activities). Investigate and recommend ways to improve efficiencies of daily job activities.

    Principle Duties & Responsibilities

    Monitor and promote safety standards and procedures

    Monitor, maintain, and report on quality standards

    Maintain Toyota Production System processes

    Develop communication among team members

    Plan, monitor, and report on production requirements

    Direct change-overs

    Evaluate duties of team members

    Confirm line has needed resources

    Train team members

    Evaluate line condition, develop countermeasures, perform preventative maintenance, and report maintenance problems when necessary

    Organize work area and support 5S activities

    Monitor and report on team member attendance

    Prepare weekly manpower plan

    Evaluate, develop countermeasures, and report on scrap

    Perform time studies and maintain efficient line operations

    Perform other duties as assigned in order to ensure achievement of section, department, or company plan

    Skills & Abilities Required

    Effective verbal communication skills necessary for interaction with team members and other staff on multiple shifts

    Strong reporting and written communication skills

    Basic math skills

    Flexible and capable of adapting to changing situations

    Strong interpersonal and motivational skills

    Minimum Level of Preparation and Training

    High school diploma or equivalent is required

    Related work experience is preferred

    Completion of necessary internal Growth Ladder classes is required

    Candidates must be available to work overtime as needed
