Michigan Governor visits Aisin at Intelligent Transport Systems World Congress
The Aisin Group companies teamed up to participate in the Intelligent Transport System (ITS) World Congress in Detroit. The event opened on Sunday, September 7 and ended on Thursday, September 11.
On September 9, Michigan Governor Rick Snyder, visited ITS World Congress, making stops at certain exhibits. During the walk-through, Snyder stopped by the Aisin exhibit to learn about the new technology Aisin has developed. He was able to experience the technology by test driving the Aisin simulator, which features three different types of driving: safe, seamless and exciting.
During the showcase, Aisin’s exhibit at Cobo Center featured Driver Monitoring Systems and Mirror Warning Icon Systems. In addition, Aisin held a technology demonstration on Belle Isle. The demonstration featured safety technology, including automatic braking and pedestrian detection and concluded with the vehicle parking itself.
The Intelligent Transport Systems World Congress is a world-wide event which occurs in a different part of the world each year and in the United States every three years. Over 10,000 people were expected to attend this year. For more information, please visit www.itsworldcongress.com.
