Business Strategies Aisin Establishes Its First Production Base in Brazil (June 24, 2002)

Aisin Seiki Co., Ltd. (President: Kanshiro Toyoda; Headquarters: Kariya, Japan) is setting up a new factory for auto body parts in Brazil to serve the South American market, which is expected to expand significantly.

Aisin Seiki had already established a Brazil-based subsidiary for market research, AISIN DO BRASIL COM.E IND LTDA. (President: Taiji Kishi; Headquarters: Sao Paulo, Brazil). The company will now increase the capital of this subsidiary to establish its first production base in South America.

With the overall aim of becoming a global supplier, Aisin Seiki intends to move ahead with the establishment of overseas production bases best suited to each characteristics of major regions and the construction of worldwide - efficient production structure.
