Production Company's Capacity Stepped Up

Aisin Co., Ltd. (President: Mr. Shinichi Mizukoshi), an overseas affiliated production
company of Aisin Seiki Co., Ltd. (President: Mr. Kanshiro Toyoda; Headquarters:
Kariya-city, Aichi, Japan), started operation of new plant and step up its production
capacity on September 1 to meet the growing demand in the ASEAN region with Thailand
at its center.
Siam Aisin engages in machining and assembly brake and engine-related parts,
assembly body-related parts, and delivers them to Thailand-based affiliates of
Toyota, Hino, Isuzu, and Mitsubishi.
This new plant operation will respond to production expansion from the rollout
of Toyota's world car "IMV" into the ASEAN region. Siam Aisin built a 14,000 square
meters, which is the same size as its existing plant, on the newly purchased 40,000
square meters plot. Along with the construction of the new plant, Siam Aisin restructured
its manufacturing facilities; the new plant deals with engine and body parts,
while the existing plant focuses on brake parts. Siam Aisin aims to expand sales
as well as increase and strengthen production capacity.
In the ASEAN region, there are ten overseas affiliated companies of Aisin Group
including Siam Aisin. The Aisin Group integrally manufactures automotive parts
related to brake, engine, body and drivetrain by mutually utilizing the production
bases of the group companies. One such example is that an affiliated company of
Aisin Takaoka Co., Ltd. produces iron and aluminum casting, which are the materials
of parts, and supplies them to Siam Aisin.
In the years ahead, we intend to strengthen the production bases of Aisin Group
in Indonesia and India and to establish a mutual-complementary structure that
makes use of features of each affiliate. Aisin Seiki continues to promote the
establishment of a global production structure to become a global supplier.
