200,000 School Meals Donated to Children in Developing Countries through TABLE FOR TWO Activities

In fiscal year 2022, companies from throughout Aisin Corporation collaborated globally to donate over 200,000 school meals to children in developing countries through the Cafeteria/Vending Machine Program of the non-profit organization TABLE FOR TWO International. Aisin ranked first in the number of donated meals among the 370 companies participating in the program and has been number one for four consecutive years.

Aisin’s support of TABLE FOR TWO programs serves two important purposes: to support children in developing countries suffering from hunger and to prevent lifestyle-related diseases among employees. Since 2009, a portion of the cost of a healthy, low-calorie meal in the cafeteria has been donated for children in developing countries to afford school meals.

“Aisin makes strong contribution to the communities that surround our global locations,” said Jennifer Thomas, manager of Aisin’s charitable giving in the U.S. “With over 200 companies in 20 countries throughout the world, that adds up to a lot of communities! That’s why global partnerships like the one with TABLE FOR TWO are vital.”

In fiscal 2022, the group provided 200,000 meals, ranking first among the 370 companies participating in the Cafeteria/Vending Machine Program of TABLE FOR TWO. Consequently, the Aisin Group has ranked first in the number of donated meals for four consecutive years and has received the Platinum Partner certificate of gratitude for ten consecutive years.

Aisin will continue to promote the health of each employee and help build a sustainable society through socially responsible activities.

What is TABLE FOR TWO?

The concept TABLE FOR TWO invites those in developed countries to share meals with those in developing countries. Of the approximately eight billion people in the world, about 800 million suffer from hunger and malnutrition, while nearly two billion suffer from obesity and other diet-related diseases. TABLE FOR TWO (TFT) is on a mission to eliminate this global food imbalance and simultaneously improve the health of people in both developing and developed countries.
