AISIN Drivetrain, Inc. (ADI) celebrated its 25th anniversary of doing business in Crothersville, Indiana, by donating $10,000 to Crothersville Community Schools and $10,000 to the Crothersville Town Council to be used for public safety services. The presentation was made by ADI President Scott Shade in October at a small, private event due to Covid safety protocols.

“We’re thrilled to be able to give back to the community that has supported us for 25 years,” said Shade. “We’re a family here and most of our team members live in or near Crothersville, so the ADI family attitude extends well beyond the plant and into the community. That makes a difference how we work together, how we treat each other, and how we feel about our town.”

The changes support AISIN’s initiative to accelerate the electrification of vehicles, and ADI will accommodate equipment and design changes for the Toyota large capacity Hybrid electric rear axle assembly and electric water pump in the 353,799 SF facility. It’s been a busy year at AISIN Canada, Inc. (ACI) in Stratford, Ontario, which partnered with The Upper Thames River Conservation Authority and local high school students for a massive tree planting partnership in October.

AISIN Canada employees and local students plant over 500 trees with the Upper Thames River Conservation Authority in Stratford, Ontario.

More than 500 native trees were planted by students, volunteers and AISIN employees to improve biodiversity, wildlife habitat, and give opportunities for students to get involved in their community and to learn that their efforts can make a difference. Finally, the Stratford and District Chamber of Commerce in September presented ACI with the “Business Excellence” and “Business of the Year” award for being a business that has demonstrated a commitment to professional ethics, excellence in customer service, a willingness to engage in innovation, an ongoing responsibility to its staff, and an involvement in its community.
