Message from AISIN’s Product Development Center

AISIN’s Product Development Center (PDC) (formerly AISIN Technical Center of America (ATC-A) was founded on the necessity to establish strategic product development capability, localization and customer support for the Americas. PDC’s goal is to lead product development activities for the American market. PDC has been an independent entity within the AISIN Group since July 2008 and was strengthened by recent mergers with AW Technical Center of America in June 2021 and Shiroki North America in July 2022. 

The automotive industry is in the midst of a “once-a-century” era of dramatic change. To survive, thrive and continue to grow, AISIN continues to innovate new products, systems and value proposals for our customers, refining them together.

AISIN’s PDC has taken on more local engineering responsibilities and now manages the complete product life cycle, making us a more nimble operation, able to better engage and serve our customers. The solid foundation built on our AISIN Group Philosophy and AISIN Group Way will aid in our pursuit of our next Vision.

Our ambitious next Vision includes developing unique products that meet our customers’ needs for today and in the future. This enormous pursuit is only possible through a global team and a harmonious effort. PDC team members represent a strong, local foundation and we collaborate with our global partners, utilizing our deep knowledge and skills base.

Product Development Center (formerly AISIN Technical Center of America, Inc. (ATC-A)

PDC is a subsidiary of AISIN Corporation, a consistently ranked Top 10 Tier One, worldwide supplier of automotive components. As the first technical center established by AISIN outside of Japan, PDC leads AISIN’s product development for the North, Central and South American marketplace, providing a greater presence to the important markets served by the AISIN Group of companies.

PDC is strong locally, providing accelerated design function and faster engineering services to customers of all AISIN products.

Located in Silicon Valley, a global hub of automotive industry innovation, OI promotes research and development of novel technologies. The OI team works in fields such as autonomous driving, electrification, connectivity and artificial intelligence, striving daily to lead future trends in the automotive industry.
